Boys SWGSO Meeting Minutes
March 11, 2010.
Attendees: Nancy Dicke, Micah Kriston, Jim Satterlee, Jennifer Wagner, Rose Strickler, Catherine Richardson, Laura Loh, Sherry Schauer, Kathi Hausmann, Yvonne Koehler, and Susan Turnansky.
Call to Order: 5:34pm by Kathi Hausmann at Southwest Training Center.
Fun to Flip Report by Yvonne Koehler: In 2009 the net income from the meet was $490.25. In 2010 the net income from the meet was -$143.66. Yvonne will review and confirm the registration numbers of gymnasts for 2010. This number will affect the net income for 2010.
Southwest Jr. Cup Report by Yvonne Koehler: In 2009 the net income from the meet was $4629.91. The $3000 in red ink indicates the amount never charged for the equipment rental from the Sun Devils. In 2010, the net income from the meet was $4629.91.
We currently have $10,000 in the bank. Our budget goal was $37,000, however, we made $38,000, exceeding our goal by $1000. Our expenditures will come at the end of the year.
Team Party: The boys’ team party will be held on Saturday, April 24th at Sharon Mattern’s house. It was motioned by Laura Loh to have the party from 12:00 till 5:00pm. The party will be pot luck. There will be a sign-up sheet posted at the gym for food. Families should either sign-up to bring a main dish or 2 side dishes. A cake will be purchased for dessert. There are also snacks and beverages left over from the two meets.
State Schedule: The scheduled was passed around for everyone to review at the meeting. The State Schedule will also be posted at the gym and emailed with a map of U of A.
Regional Schedule: Levels 5 and up can qualify for regionals. They are being held in San Diego, April 15-18.
Board Elections will be held in May. The nominations will be in April.
E-Scrip Fundraiser by Laura Loh: There are 100’s of different gift cards which can be purchased. A percentage of each gift card will be given back to the gym. Orders should be placed by Wednesday of each week. Laura Loh will bring the gift cards to the gym the following Monday.
Hotel for State: The Windmill Hotel in Tucson is located 4 miles from Bear Down Gym. There room rate is $129 and phone number is 520-577-0007. The Four Points Sheraton located at U of A also has rooms, there rate is $120.
Sherry Schauer motioned to adjourn the meeting at 6:18. The meeting was closed.
