Boys SWGSO Meeting Minutes, April 28, 2010.
Attendees: Jennifer Wagner, Laura Loh, Rose Srickler, Kathi Hausmann, and Susan Turnansky.
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Kathi Hausmann at 5:46 pm at Southwest Training Center.
Treasurer’s Report by Kathi Hausmann: The bank balance for 2008/2009 was $26,879.28. The golf tournament in 2008/2009 raised $7305.27 with 80 golfers. The bank balance for 2009/2010 was $27,953.33. The golf tournament in 2009/2010 raised $3824.30 with 40 golfers.
Board Nominations: There is a SWGSO Board nomination sheet posted on the bulletin board at the gym. Please sign up for positions. The positions include: president, vice president, treasurer and secretary. There will be vote at the next board meeting.
Golf Tournament: The golf tournament is scheduled for September 25, 2010 at Club West. The shot gun start time is 1:00 pm. Laura Loh would like to chair the golf tournament. Laura is interested in making brochures for the tournament. She will check the pricing for ½ page brochures. We need many donations for big ticket items to make to golf tournament a success. Big ticket items in the past have included trips to Sedona(donated by the Dicke family), a Rocky Point trip (donated by Yvonne Koehler), and also another cabin donated by Laura Loh. Cole Ruffcorn’s dad Jim has also made many donations in the past. We also need corporate sponsors, our goal is 15 sponsors. Kathi will provide Laura Loh with a list of past sponsors. A raffle coordinator is needed for the tournament. Tee box sponsors are also needed. Three main electronic items are also needed and many volunteers to help on the day of the event.
Other Fundraisers: We are in need of additional fundraising for next year. A Texas Holdem fundraiser may be held in the future.
The next SWGSO meeting will be held on May 11, 2010 at 5:30 pm.
