Meeting Minutes June 18, 2008
Meeting Attendance: Kristie Wickland, Linell James, Julie Barry, Angela Ryan, Rob Bell, Rose Strickler, Debbie Kennedy, Kathi Hausmann, Kelly Moore, Tina Roman, Melissa Seliger, Kimberlee Machol, Laura Atkinson, Bernie Meranda.
Meeting called to order by Kathi Hausmann at 5:30pm
Passed around meeting minutes from previous meeting to view for a few minutes. Minutes motioned to pass by Melissa Seigler. Laura Atkinson Second.
Treasurer report by Julie Barry approximately $15,000 in the account. No new checks have been written since last meeting.
Leos - Andrew has picked a leo and is going to talk to Lisa Behm about the details. Black warm-ups with jewel design on back. Begin to measure this week so we have tentative numbers. Melissa Seigler is heading up the leos and additional parents will assist with measurements Going with GK. Jana has a warm up style that we will be purchasing if anyone would like to take a look.
All accounts must be current before leos may be purchased. Leo's and Warm-ups will be ordered through the gym and all accounts must be brought up to date before order will be placed. If you have any questions please contact office to resolve.
Please make sure accounts with booster club are current. It is the end of the booster clulb 'year' with the new year beginning July 1st. All past due account need to be brought to a "zero" balance before new charges and purchases will be made on behalf of the booster club. If any questions please contact Julie.
Black box is for gym fees and white SWGSO labeled box is for Booster club fees. Boxes are located at the front entry.
Leg Weight Purchase information. Level 4's do not need to purchase them at the current time. Only level 5's and up.
Frys Card updates - if anyone needs cards please let Kristie know. We are currently at $13,900 and we need to meet our goal of $25,000 by August 2, 2008. There is a July promotion however some Frys stores are not allowing re-loads on that deal of adding 10% on a $300 minimum load. Some gym members on boys side have been able to re-load with the bonus so it seems to just depend on the store/location.
Rob Bell will be our Compulsory Representative so if you have any questions L 4/5/6 please direct them to him. Thanks Rob!
Optional Conditioning class on Friday - $50 fee per month for the class. You still need to notify by the 15th of the previous month if you are on auto-pay. We have talked to Brock about how we are charged and that we think there would be a better response to the class if we charge on a week by week basis. The optional class if available to the Level 5's and up, the level 4's are already here. Brock said he would highly consider this week by week pay option when he returns from congress we will get further information. We can update at the July meeting.
Board members had a meeting with Andrew. Not many teams have put in their meet dates yet so we don't have a schedule. We have put our State meet bit for Level 5/6. We will know in July if we receive that bid.
Fall Flip will be first weekend in October. The 4th, 5th and 6th. That is fall break week for many people.
Andrew is doing his meet certification at congress to meet director.
We will get equipment from Scott Barclay at Aspire.
Still trying to get Tempe High School. Will be in contact with them.
We are looking at doing approximatlely the same amount of meets this upcoming season and possibly adding the Kingman meet at the beginning of the year and leaving them as optional meets because they are non sanctioned meets.
The reason we attend certain meets is because they support our events. We don't want to jepordize that relationship.
Considering doing the Hard Rock meet in February being held at the new Cardinals Stadium.
If we don't get the bid for state we are hoping to do another meet in the spring.
No new members present.
Laura checked with precision and they have lot's of the camp blue t-shirts. Members seemed to be in agreement that color blue would be appropriate for our Team shirts.
Linelle asked how much a sweatshirt would cost.
Members would like choice of t-shirt, polo and/or sweatshirt. Cost of shirts would be the responsibility of parents and would not go through the booster club accout.
Kristie showed the her graphic for a t-shirt possibilities. Design on back of shirt. With Acronym going down front. Laura will check on prices with Julie at Precision.
